At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Abbey Ports was in her last semester of nursing school at Stevenson university. She discusses how nursing choold was modified her last semester, what it was like to start out as a new nurse in a COVID-19 unit in the middle of pandemic, and how she stays sane during these crazy times.

"One thing that will always stick with me is I walked into, this was my first day on the unit, I walk in this patient’s room, he was about to get downgraded but he was like, 'You know what gets me a hospital stay?' I’m like what? He’s like I always say, 'This to will pass.'"
