Never occured in soccer's history before. Fans are to wear masks during the game and cannot celebrate goals with their loved ones. Social distancing rules are to be followed. 

Fans are to obey strict COVID-19 rules during soccer games. 

It seems that a fan deeply missed English soccer action. Many other fans had similar reactions to the long pause.

The dreams of the Liverpool F.C. fans came true. They've been waiting for this moment for 30 years. Liverpool F.C. had an amazing 2019-2020 season. They deserved the trophy.

The English Premier League is the most viewed domestic soccer league in the world. Millions of soccer fans from across the globe tune in from different time zones to watch the games live. Arguably, the most competitive league. Its wide range of teams from different cities makes it entertaining for a sports enthusiast.

Likewise to other countries, England was also devastated by the coronavirus. In April-May, the English government took strict curfew measures followed by a lockdown procedure. Coronavirus's uncontrollable spread affected many industries in England. Soccer, the most popular sport in England was stopped for two months.

Before the Premier League games got postponed, the English title race was dominated by Liverpool F.C. There was a large point gap between the league leaders Liverpool and the second-placed team Manchester City. During March before the league games were postponed, fans were sure that Liverpool would claim the title. It was also special for Liverpool F.C because up until then the club hasn't won the English league in nearly thirty years. Liverpool F.C. fans were preparing for the day of their team's victory.

In mid-March Premier League games were cancelled until further notice. The COVID-19 disease paused the game in which the British invented. After the French soccer federation declared PSG as champions with 10 more games to go, many commentators assumed that the English soccer federation would act similarly. It was expected that the soccer federation would automatically give the titleship to Liverpool F.C.
In June the English league continued from where it paused. It was essentially pointless because everybody knew that Liverpool would win the league. That is exactly what happened.

Liverpool finished the league in first place with 99 points. Just a point away from 100. Bournemouth, Watford, and Norwich City were amongst the teams that were relegated to the lower division, EFL Championship. Leicester City's striker Jamie Vardy was the top goalscorer with 23 goals.

In early September, the 2020-2021 season of the English Premier League started. It is currently ongoing with strict rules. Contrary to the previous season, this year is actually more competitive. Liverpool F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. are head-to-head in the title race. The following months will definitely be exciting.
